About AMJA
The African Maritime Journalists Association is a non-governmental, not for profit organization, open to all practicing maritime media journalists based in Africa. Its emergence is one of the outcomes of the maiden Africa Maritime Journalists Conference (AMJOC) held in January this year in Accra – Ghana.
The Association seeks to promote the interests and welfare of maritime media practitioners, encourage information and knowledge sharing as well as foster goodwill between the media and stakeholders within and outside Africa’s blue economy.
The Association has received the endorsement of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) London, and from notable regional maritime institutions in the continent.
